Amazing spot for fresh seafood. Christopher was our server and he provided fantastic service. The food was delicious. The tuna tostada is one of the best we’ve ever tried. Highly recommended!

We went for a late dinner before closing. Our server was very accommodating and helpful. He brought out 2 oyster shots (balazo) to start. We ordered the octopus taco (taco de pulpo), tostada con ceviche, aquachile del Puerto, shrimp both (caldo de camaron) and had a michelada to drink. Taco de pulpo and caldo de camaron are must orders. The ceviche toastada was also amazing, their shrimp tostada also looks great. You won't go wrong!

We came to Puerto Viejo Mariscos tonight and honestly, the highlight of our entire experience was our server, Chris. From the second we sat down, he was on top of everything—warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. He didn’t just check in, he anticipated what we needed before we even asked. Every recommendation he gave was spot on, and he went above and beyond to make the evening feel special. It’s rare to come across service this phenomenal. Chris didn’t miss a beat—friendly, professional, and truly made us feel like we were his #1 priority. Honestly, he’s the kind of server that makes you want to come back to a restaurant again and again. Puerto Viejo Mariscos is lucky to have him. If you’re coming here, ask for Chris—you won’t regret it!

The seafood dishes here are top tier. Had the tuna on tostada and the octopus(pulpo) taco and they were amazing! The staff was so attentive and they were happy to give me suggestions on dishes I should try. I will certainly come back here!

Excellent service! The restaurant decor transports you to the beach. I loved the restroom rustic doors. The capitán, Israel, was extra attentive. He truly made our visit wonderful.

They had an English menu (uploaded) which was helpful. I was seated and given a yummy shot of shrimp ceviche and a pack of mixed crunchy tacos on the house. I ordered the fish ceviche, guacamole, and Jamaica Mezcalita, and all were great! The service was very pleasant too, and shout out to Mari and a very smiley male waiter who likes mango popsicles (which they gave as a complimentary dessert at the end). They checked on me to see if everything was good. I would definitely go back to try the other dishes!

My husband and I tasted a little bit of everything and it was all delicious! I highly recommend the Puerto Viejo, Mezcalita de Jamaica, and Miches for drinks. To eat, the Vuelve a la Vida and tostadas are delicious! The atmosphere is also good. We were able to listen to music from the DJ while watching sports. It’s a great time!
